Just dropped my newest art project into the implacable bazaar that is Ebay: The Unauthorized iPod U2 vs. Negativland Special Edition. It’s an honest-to-God U2 iPod, with modded box art and pre-loaded Negativland albums. Anti-corporate noise music embedded in a corporate megarock casing—oh, the humanity! Profits go to benefit Downhill Battle, an organization devoted to restoring some sanity to the music business.

Ein Künstler names Francis Hwang als Aktivist der Downhillbattle-Gang kommt nun auf die Idee zur Veröffentlichung des U2-iPods einen eigenen iPod namens The Unauthorized iPod U2 vs. Negativland" zu veröffentlichen und bietet diesen auch noch bei ebay an. Und obwohl das fragliche Stück nicht einmal auf dem Player selber zu finden ist, ruft er wieder die Anwälte …
