Too little fun; too much work
I have two articles in ArtByte's Sept-Oct 2001 issue. The first, Are We Having Fun Yet?, reviews the current game-inspired art exhibit at MASS MoCA, and talks about why artists dabbling in game structures need to be a little humbler when approaching the dynamics of games. The second piece is a review of Brenda Laurel's book "Utopian Entrepreneur". (The review isn't currently available online.)
Also, I ended up taking down metropolitic in July. For the time being, I decided it was just too much work for the little response I was getting. I'm still interested in using the domain for something politics-related, but this is going to go on the backburner for now.
